Who we are and why we are here.

Hello everyone! Welcome to our blog, Henry's Heaven. A safe space to talk all things miscarriage.

Let me introduce myself and my fiancè:

My name is Megan Wohlman and I'm a 26 year old LPN and medical scribe from North Dakota. My wonderful and handsome fiancè is 26 year old, Josh Evavold. He works for a wonderful contracting company with members of his family. Josh and I met almost 10 years ago through mutual friends, but we did not start officially dating till December of 2020. Although I had to swallow my pride and make the first move, it still to this day is the best decision I have ever made. He is patient, kind, hardworking, accountable, and to be completely honest, some of you may fall in love with him by the end of this blog (and I don't blame you!)--that is truly just how amazing he is.

Fast forward a few years (and a few impulsive decisions later...) we now are a family of 5! We have a Ragdoll cat named Louie who is 6 years old. I got Louie before Josh and I met, but Josh is Louie's dad all the way. At the end of our first year of dating we decided to get a yellow lab named Miller. He was named after Josh's favorite beer and I was okay with that, because I love him. (I also love beer! Who doesn't if you're from the MidWest? LOL.) Miller is over a year old now. After getting Miller, we found a great opportunity for a second dog and we went to pick him up as soon as we could! His name is Blue (also named after beer, Labatt Blue) and he is almost 6 months old. A lot of people thought we were and are still crazy for getting another dog, but this chaotic life fits our personalities perfectly-we wouldn't change a thing!

As you can probably all guess... Josh and I suffered a miscarriage. It was our first pregnancy, our first shot at hopes of finally becoming parents, a dream that finally came true, the best and hardest thing that we would have to go through together. As a part of our healing journey, we wanted to create a safe space for all mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, anyone that has ever been affected by a miscarriage/miscarriages to connect, share their stories, support one another, and simply, but most importantly to show you that you are NOT ALONE.

We want to raise awareness of how often families go through this tragedy and how little it is talked about. We hope that you can find some hope, healing, love, and maybe a little laughter throughout this website and our blog posts. We are so sorry for your loss, but we are so glad that you found us.

Thank you for taking your time to read about us and we hope you stick around to read some more! We are sending all our love and thoughts your way. And always remember.. you are not alone, it wasn't your fault, and you are so loved!

Love,

Megan and Josh.
